Job Summary:

We are hiring for a senior level manager, responsible for the overall management of all areas of The State of Arizona 360 Financial Information System (AZ360 Financial). You will oversee Operations, Budgetary/Appropriation control, Advantage Reporting (data warehouse),
Federal Reporting and Cost Accounting, Security and Workflow, Tax Reporting (1099), Fiscal Year End Closing, integration with other State financial systems and software, and training.
You will perform professional work involving broad management processes, providing technical advice, interpretations or recommendations, and planning based on program requirements, drawing from the extensive financial background of the individual. May work closely with ADOA leadership, OSPB and JLBC to provide consultation on all areas of AZ360 Financial.
This position is available for remote work on a full-time basis within Arizona (including virtual office arrangements).

Job Duties:
-Conducts meetings with direct AZ360 Financial management staff, agency financial managers/CFOs, other GAO staff, and ADOA leadership on all areas of AZ360 Financial.
-Manages enhancements, upgrades, procedures, policies, and methods to support AFIS. Supports the AZ360 Financial nightly batch processes and troubleshooting system issues.
-Provides direction to agencies, boards and commissions, and the JLBC and OSPB by providing guidance and/ or research necessary to resolve problems or situations defined by the requesting entity.
-Finalizes recommendations for policy and procedure changes to assure integrity of statewide financial data and consistency in application of statutes and other related laws and/or regulations for submission to the State Comptroller.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
-Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally
Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Government Accounting Standards Board
(GASB), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and other related publications.
-Extensive knowledge of the principles, concepts, practices, methods and techniques
of government accounting, audit methodologies, internal control structures, accountability and fiscal management.
-Extensive knowledge of the methods and techniques of development of data processing related to large financial systems.
-Knowledge of management and supervisory techniques.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Selective Preference(s):
-A bachelor's degree in accounting or a closely related field required.
-5 years accounting experience in a large financial institution is preferred.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-Certified Public Accountant license by the State of Arizona preferred.
