Overview

National Statistics Office - Malta Island: The National Statistics Office is looking for talented individuals who are keen to embark on a statistical career with specialisation in survey interviewing as an Administration Officer 4. The prospective employee will be recruited on a full-time indefinite contract and will be part of a team of Survey Interviewers, primarily stationed at the Malta International Airport (departures lounge), and work on a 12-hourly shift basis (day-night-rest-off). At the discretion of the Management, Administration Officers 4 may be requested to work during office hours on a five-day week. Besides very good written and verbal communication skills in the English language and any other official European language; preferably Maltese.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team of Survey Interviewers and carry out survey interviewing duties as an Administration Officer 4.
• Be stationed primarily at the Malta International Airport (departures lounge) and operate on a 12-hourly shift basis (day-night-rest-off).
• Comply with management decisions regarding work hours, including potential office-hours duties on a five-day week.

Qualifications

• Excellent level of interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (preferably qualified with a European Computer Driving License ECDL)
• Sound numerical and IT skills
• The ability to work in a team
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and any other official European language; preferably Maltese
