Clean and sanitize public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and entrance areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in public areas.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to resort policies.
Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring all supplies are replenished and facilities are spotless.
Maintenance and Upkeep:
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
May have to perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
Guest Interaction:
Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
Provide assistance and information to guests as needed.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Replenish cleaning supplies and restock janitorial closets as necessary.
Assist with inventory counts and ordering supplies.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
Team Collaboration:
Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
Support and train new janitorial staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Personal Attributes: Professional appearance and demeanor. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and a willingness to assist with various tasks as needed. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Working Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted in public areas, restrooms, and back-of-house areas within the resort.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
