Janitorial Position

Cleaning Duties:

• Clean and sanitize public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and entrance areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in public areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste according to resort policies.
• Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring all supplies are replenished and facilities are spotless.

Maintenance and Upkeep:

• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• May have to perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.

Guest Interaction:

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Provide assistance and information to guests as needed.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and restock janitorial closets as necessary.
• Assist with inventory counts and ordering supplies.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
• Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.

Team Collaboration:

• Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Support and train new janitorial staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and customer service skills. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Personal Attributes: Professional appearance and demeanor. Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and a willingness to assist with various tasks as needed. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Working Conditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in public areas, restrooms, and back-of-house areas within the resort.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
