Job Title: Customer Service Specialist I

Salary: $19.23-$27.89/Hourly; DOQ

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Grade: CP4

Lake Havasu City is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist I to provide exceptional service to residents, visitors, and internal departments. This position serves as a primary point of contact, responding to inquiries, processing requests, and ensuring accurate information is delivered in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Functions

  • Responds to customer inquiries in person, by phone, email, and written correspondence
  • Processes payments, applications, or service requests
  • Maintains records and enters data into city systems
  • Resolves customer concerns and escalates issues when necessary
  • Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely service
  • Performs general clerical and administrative support duties

Qualified candidates will be required to participate in online testing, which will consist of Data Entry and 10 Key. Candidates will receive separate testing notification via email or text messaging and must complete testing as instructed; no extensions of deadline will be given.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years' experience in basic accounting, customer service, and data entry.
  • Proficiency with computers, office software, and data entry
  • Valid Driver's License of the appropriate class.
