SUMMARY:

Functions as Cashier for patrons and employees, and in the Vault.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Exchanges cash to patrons for coins and chips.
• Cashes checks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Services patron and/or employee windows in the cage.
• Performs cashier drawer count down and prepares count down report.
• Process jackpot/fill transactions as required.
• Verification of department banks from vault.
• Help the Count Team wrap coins or count currency as needed.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
• Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and Bluewater Resort and Casino policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures.

• Six months high volume cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands.
• Ability to handle counting money accurately to customer on a continuous fast paced environment.
• Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly and concisely in basic English and apply basic mathematical skills.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

• High School Diploma or GED required. Strong math and money-handling skills are a necessity.
• Must be good with the public and enjoy fast paced environment.
• Must be able read, write, speak and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• Office, gaming floor and Hotel environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises.
• Extensive computer use.
• Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
• Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public.
